Yakhni means soup and the rice cooked in meat soup is called Yakhni Pilau (Pilauf). We are often asked about the difference between Pilau and Biryani. The answer is simple, Pilau is cooked in predominantly whole spices where as biryani curry is cooked from ground spices. This is an amazing recipe for pilau rice. A treat for rice lovers!
