your letterbox, however larger orders may require somebody to receive the
parcel.
What is the serving size of the marinades and rubs?
Each marinade contains enough spice for 1kg of meat, fish or
paneer. This will serve approximately 4 to 6 people.
Can the Mza marinades and rubs be cooked in an air fryer?
Yes, Mza marinades are very versatile and are perfect for the
BBQ, grill, oven, air fryer or frying.
Do your recipes tasteauthentic and home cooked?
Yes, our recipes are authentic and many are handed down from
previous generations, allowing you to use techniques such as layering of spices
for depth of flavour.
How are these recipes different from restaurant food?
Most restaurants use a small range of 'base' sauces to cook
most of their dishes hence their dishes sometimes taste similar. This is due to
catering for large numbers of people. All of our Mza recipes taste different
from each other as the blend and layering of spices in each recipe is unique.
Why does each recipe taste different?
There are two reasons for this:
1. Each recipe contains different combinations of spices.
2. Mza spice kits are different from other spice companies as
the spice blends are packed in multiple packets. Following the recipe card will
tell you when to add each packet during the cooking process. This is 'layering
of spices' which is the age old authentic way of cooking a curry.
What is the cost of the spice kit per person serving?
Per serving the cost varies from recipe to recipe depending
on how much spices are in each spice kit, the cost per serving ranges from 25p
to 63p for one dish. This includes spices, packaging and recipe cards.
Are Mza spice kits very hot and spicy?
All of our recipes are tailored for mild to moderate heat.
Each recipe and spice kit comes with an extra packet of spice, adding this as
instructed in the recipe cards will make the dish spicier and hotter.
Why do lots of the Mza spice kits contain more than onepacket of spice blends?
Traditionally curries are cooked by layering the spices at
different stages of cooking. Our spice kits contain recipe cards that tell you
when to add each packet during cooking. This gives you the authentic taste of a
curry.
How long do spices keep for?
Mza spice kits will keep their quality and freshness for over
a year which is called the 'best before' date. However, spices do not have an
expiration date so they can be kept for much longer.
Where does Mza gets their spices from?
We buy our spices from UK suppliers. Most of these suppliers
import them from different parts of the world as the UK does not produce many
spices due to its cold and wet weather.
Do your spice kits contain nuts?
Some of our spice suppliers use the same premise for packing
nuts and other allergens. You can see the allergen alert on our website. Avoid
these spice kits if you suffer from any of these allergies.
Do spice kits have allergen and nutritional information?
Yes you can find allergen information on our website under each
recipe. Our recipe cards also contain allergens and calorie information.
Are Mza spice kits packed by machines?
No, all Mza spice kits are packed by hand.
Is your packaging recyclable?
Yes, we pride ourselves on using all recyclable packaging, even
the ink we use is environmentally friendly.
Are spice kits GM free?
Yes they are.
