Servings

This is a dry curry so you will need a moist accompaniment like Punjabi Daal Makhani to go with it. Okra should not be slimy but with a bit of crunch. Tailored for mild to moderate spice but comes with an extra packet to make it spicier.

Okra also called Bhindi or lady's finger, is one of the healthiest vegetables to eat. It is much cheaper in the sub continent as compared to UK but its amazing taste is really worth it. Most vegetables do not have their own taste hence more spices are required to enhance their flavour. However, Okra is an exception and has a really unique taste. It is very rich in anti oxidants which is apparently beneficial for medical conditions like Diabetes and even certain type of cancers*.

Easy, authentic, cheap, subscription free, environmentally friendly

During my studies abroad, I was craving authentic food from home at an affordable price. And that’s when I found mza!

I’ve never wanted to subscribe to any recipe box service because it was always too expensive for my budget, or too much of a commitment. But pretty much everything in my basket was under £1. On top of that, you don’t have to commit to subscribing anyway. The thing that also surprised me was how easy the recipes were to follow. I actually had given up on my ability to make Asian dishes because I could never make my flavours deep enough. But it’s clear that whoever came up with the recipes, had a clear understanding of how to layer Asian spices for authentic tastes

Anyone that also cares about the environment will also notice that unlike some other online services, mza doesn’t waste any material and makes sure that everything they provide is recyclable

I never leave reviews but I think this small family run business deserves a massive shout out. So if you’re not sure if you should give them a try, this review’s a sign that you won’t regret it!
