Karhai is a creamy but not a very runny curry. Tailored for mild to moderate spice but comes with an extra packet to make it spicier.
This is a regional variety of Karahi Gosht originated in the historic city of Lahore. A very rustic and tasty dish. Meat is traditionally kept a bit less tender. The reason for this is that this dish originated in the mountainous regions of North West frontier and Afghanistan where it was very difficult to tenderise the meat due to the high altitude. The grazing animals that live at such high altitude have to be tough to survive in such harsh conditions hence their meat is tougher then their low land cousins.
