This recipe makes a thick but rich gravy with tender meat and lentils. Tailored for mild to moderate spice but comes with and extra packet to make it spicier.
This extremely tasty South East Asian dish is enriched with chana daal. In days gone past and even now to make the dish go further, for large families, cheaper ingredients like vegetables and lentils were added to meat which enhances the taste and texture of the dish. One of our favourite dishes on our menu as it is not frequently seen on the menus of Indian restaurants in UK. This is my Mums recipe.
